A judge in California has ordered that Elon Musk be interviewed under oath about claims he made for the safety and capabilities of Tesla vehicles in 2016. This is all part of a larger lawsuit being brought against Tesla by the family of Walter Huang, who was in a Tesla with partially automated driving software in 2018 when he was killed in a car crash.

The suit brought by Huang’s family alleges that Tesla’s software failed; for its part, Tesla claims Huang was playing a game on his phone and disregarded vehicle warnings before the crash. Solicitors for the Huang family sought to depose Musk about his 2016 claim that the Tesla Model S and X cars “can drive autonomously with greater safety than a person—right now” (thanks, Reuters).

Ready yourselves for a special edition of the Meta Quest 3. The theme? Xbox. The point? It comes with Xbox controllers and Game Pass in the box.

Meta has announced that it will be opening up the OS included with the Meta Quest 3 to other hardware manufacturers, including Lenovo and Asus. The latter is supposedly creating a dedicated gaming headset with all the ROG trimmings, too. But not to be left out, Microsoft reportedly has teamed up with Meta for its own headset, an Xbox themed Meta Quest.

“Xbox and Meta teamed up last year to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) to Meta Quest, letting people play Xbox games on a large 2D virtual screen in mixed reality. Now, we’re working together again to create a limited-edition Meta Quest, inspired by Xbox,” Meta says.

Blizzard should call Diablo 4’s next season Diablo 5 because the changes coming are so fundamental and widespread, it’s going to feel like you’re playing a full-on sequel.

After months of teasing a massive overhaul to Diablo 4’s core design, Blizzard used today’s Campfire Chat steam to walk through season 4’s rework—which will be permanently in the game from then on—to loot and many of the game’s other core systems over the course of a nearly two-hour stream.

The changes touch almost every aspect of the game, which is probably why the stream opened with game director Joe Shely defining the most important aspects of Diablo 4 as the decisions you make before combat and the ones you make in between to set up what’s in store next season.

Our favourite roguelike of 2022 isn’t likely to get a sequel any time soon. In a chat with GameSpot, Vampire Survivors creator Luca Galante said that, unless he devised some way to “offer something radically new” with a potential Vampire Survivors 2, a sequel would remain “unlikely”.

It’s not like Galante is packing it in entirely on Vampire Survivors, mind you. The reason he’s apathetic about a sequel is because he feels like the current game provides a good foundation to expand upon. “With the way Vampire Survivors is designed, we can deliver both new content and new game mechanics on the existing game,” he said, “so why make a sequel?” That goes for a “spiritual successor,” too. Galante seems wholly committed to the game he’s already made.

The premise is a simple one: train an AI to improve at the game and, as Yosh himself puts it, “the more it trains the better it gets”. This isn’t Yosh’s first rodeo either: he’s made previous videos experimenting with the tech and trying to create a Trackmania AI capable of beating himself. The Sims has added some long-requested culinary items to its world: Matzah / matzo ball soup and challah bread. Recent years have seen the game strive to improve its representation of diverse cuisines, with Arab, Asian and Latin American foods added, and Matzah ball soup is a traditional Jewish dish that is basically chicken soup dotted with delicious dumplings. The soup can be served anytime but is especially associated with the holiday of Passover, and the campaign to add it was mostly led by community member Hufflepom.
